AP Physics tutoring for every level.
Physics is one of the few subjects where your existing intuition works against you at first. Our UCLA tutors are engineering and physics majors who went through that rebuild themselves, so they know which wrong instincts to go after first.
The students we tend to do best with.
AP 1 and 2 students, plus the calculus-based C Mechanics and C E&M crowd. We also get retakers coming back for a second run at a C-level exam.
Four things every AP Physics engagement includes.
Algebra-based 1 and 2
These two are conceptually deep but mathematically light. The exam grades reasoning, not arithmetic, and we coach the reasoning explicitly.
Calculus-based C Mechanics
Once derivatives and integrals enter the picture, the conceptual load drops and the algebraic load rises. We bridge from AB calculus to mechanics so neither subject suffers.
C Electricity & Magnetism
The hardest AP exam by score distribution. We start early and build the whole prep around released FRQs rather than saving them for the end.
Free-response writing
Physics FRQs reward clear setup. We coach the diagram-then-equation-then-answer structure that loses fewer rubric points.
A plan you can read in a paragraph.
We pace the year against the released exam outlines and run two or three full-length mocks in the last six weeks. For students taking C-level, start in October if you can. Starting in February is a scramble.
