We hire students from California's top universities to teach K through 12 one-to-one. Pay is $30 to $45 an hour, paid out weekly. You tell us when you're free, and we build around your class schedule rather than the other way round.
We hire selectively
Knowing a subject and being able to teach it are different skills. We need both, which is why the list below is short and the demo lesson is long.
Currently enrolled
You're an active undergraduate or graduate student at Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, Caltech, USC, one of the UCs, or the Claremont Colleges.
Strong academic record
A cumulative GPA of 3.7 or above, or equivalent distinction in your subject area.
You genuinely enjoy teaching
You've TA'd, coached, or mentored someone, or your friends keep asking you for help with their homework.
Based in California
You're living in California for at least part of the academic year, or you're available for online sessions during Pacific Time hours.
